Ukrainian War: The war between Russia and Ukraine is not taking the name of stopping. Despite suffering lakhs of losses, both the countries are not ready to back down. Russia is continuously firing missiles at Ukraine but Ukraine is standing firm. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky had announced in the beginning that he would not back down from the war. This has also been seen so far.
Nine months have passed since the war, yet Ukraine continues to give a befitting reply to Russia. Ukraine’s air force said on Monday that Russia fired about 70 missiles in its latest offensive against Ukraine, of which more than 60 were downed.
Russia has stepped up attacks in recent times, targeting Ukraine’s infrastructure, which has damaged electricity, water lines in the country and people are struggling with an energy crisis as winter knocks. Initial indications suggest that the Russian military fired 38 cruise missiles from ships in the Caspian Sea and from the Russian region south of Rostov.

Ukraine’s air force said on its Telegram page that another 22 Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. Ukraine’s military said Russian long-range bombers, fighter jets and guided missiles were also involved in the attack. The Air Force statement said that in total, more than 60 missiles of the invaders were dropped.
Loss of eight lakh crore rupees
According to Oleg Ustenko, economic advisor to the Ukrainian President, Ukraine has suffered a loss of one trillion dollars (about eight lakh crore rupees) due to the war. On the other hand, Russia has so far spent about 8,000 billion rupees in the war. At the same time, America and Europe together have spent 12,520 billion rupees in the war in the name of helping Ukraine. Including factors such as increased food and fuel prices, disrupted supply chains, inflation and unemployment, the war has cost the world about Rs 24 lakh crore ($3 trillion).
